"Redeemer in Rio" (Etude #6) is in the style of a Bossa Nova, a popular Brazilian style of music that emerged in the early 1960's with notable recordings by Antonio Carlos Jobim, Joao Gilberto, and others. The 8th notes should be played evenly with a relaxed rhythmic feel. The inner harmonic voices should be played lightly and quietly, and the left hand bass patterns cleanly and decisively. Project the top line in the right hand above all other voices.
