Purple Parrot
Beginner Trumpet Solo

The Purple Parrot is one of three solos composed for beginning trumpet students. The idea is to give beginner students an opportunity to perform with only months, or even weeks of experience.

The Purple Parrot is in the key of G (F concert) and in 4/4 time signature. The highest note is C in the staff. The smallest rhythmic value is quarter-notes.

The best thing about these three beginner solos is that they give the beginners the opportunity to perform very early in their trumpet careers.
