Composed by Robert A. Howard. 20th Century,Classical,Contemporary,Contest,Festival,Instructional. Score. 2 pages. Robert A. Howard #6049645. Published by Robert A. Howard (A0.998798).

'Promenade' is named after a group of five large sculptures by Anthony Caro (1996). This set of steel constructions is on permanent display in Yorkshire Sculpture Park. Musical material and structure have been derived from the contours and form of the sculptures. The original version of Promenade IV was flexibly scored for any instrumental combination, in four parts. However, this incarnation (Promenade IVa) is a transcription for any keyboard instrument (e.g. piano or organ, etc.). It is the fourth in a series of pieces based on Caro's work. The piece is highly accessible and is appropriate for most standards of keyboard player, including students and advanced players.
Duration: 2 minutes 15 seconds.
