By Frank Sinatra. By James Brockman and Abe Olman. Arranged by Dave Gingras and John E. Dosher. Broadway,Jazz,Musical/Show. Score. 2 pages. DAVID LEE GINGRAS #1014243. Published by DAVID LEE GINGRAS (A0.1434001).

"Down Among the Sheltering Palms" is a popular song. The music was written by Abe Olman, the lyrics by James Brockman and Leo Wood. The song was first published in 1914 by Olman who heavily marketed it in the Chicago region. Music publisher Leo Feist acquired it from Olman and gave it to Al Jolson to perform on stage. This Public Domain version was developed from the original sheet music and makes use of a root-based chord blocking that John and I have used in a number of our arrangements. We hope you like what we've done with this grand old tune!

This product was created by a member of ArrangeMe, Hal Leonard’s global self-publishing community of independent composers, arrangers, and songwriters. ArrangeMe allows for the publication of unique arrangements of both popular titles and original compositions from a wide variety of voices and backgrounds.
