Astor Piazzolla, de belangrijkste vertolker van de moderne tango, wist als geen ander de betovering van deze dans over te brengen - bestaande uit mysterie en zonde, verleiding en afwijzing, aantrekkingskracht en wreedheid, ritme ensmartelijke erotiek. Oblivion werd door Piazzolla gecomponeerd in 1984 voor de film Henry IV (Enrico IV) van de Italiaanse regisseur Marco Bellocchio, in dit fraaie werk laat het strakke ritme van de tango ruimte vooreen lyrische en introspectieve melodie.

Astor Piazolla, der wichtigste Vertreter des modernen Tangos, besaß die Fähigkeit, den Zauber dieses Tanzes zu vermitteln - eine Mischung aus Mystik und Sünde, Verführung und Zurückweisung, Anziehung und Grausamkeit sowie Rhythmus und Erotik. Oblivion komponierte Piazolla im Jahr 1984 für den Film Heinrich IV des italienischen Regisseurs Marco Bellocchio; in diesem äußerst sanften und sehnsüchtigen Stück lässt der straffe Rhythmus des Tangos genügend Raum für eine lyrische, besinnliche Melodie.

En 1984, Astor Piazzolla compose Oblivion pour le film Henri IV du réalisateur italien Marco Bellocchio. Cette pièce émouvante et nostalgique évolue sur un rythme rigoureux qui laisse beaucoup d’espace au développement d’une mélodie lyrique et introspective.
