It seems that I grew up in an era of epic storytelling! In the last century especially, stories of space exploration and adventure have captivated the world’s attention. Another thing it seems, is that the most popular of these stories, in the film medium at least, always have incredible French horn lines. I was blessed to go to school where incredible horn players were abundant, and I made friends with as many of them as I could. This piece is meant to be a fun exercise for the imagination: what happens during the maiden voyage to the stars? What happens in the search for the next Earth?
