Dit werk bestaat uit twee Israëlische volksliedjes, contrasterend qua sfeer.
Het eerste deel 'Ma Averech'(How shall this child be blessed) brengt op bijzondere wijze een ingetogen melodieus volksliedje voor het voetlicht terwijlhet tweede gedeelte 'Zemer Atik' (Old Song) een meer uitgelaten karakter in zich draagt.
