Christmas night evokes a multitude of images within every one of us: memories of sharing delicious meals with our family, of magical encounters, of celebrations, carol singing and music. In this work, Marc Jeanbourquin revisits four great ChristmasEve classics. The first chorale, Adeste Fideles, majestically opens this piece before taking the audience on to the famous Joy to the World. Such an arrangement would not be complete without the equally well-known Jingle Bells ina jazz version, before We wish you a Merry Christmas as a fitting conclusion to the piece. With A Christmas Night, you will be able to express in music the traditional Christmastime wishes to your public.

Kerstavond roept bij velen van ons herinneringen op: aan kostelijke maaltijden in familiekring, aan muziek, aan samenzang en nog veel meer. Met A Christmas Night verklankt Marc Jeanbourquin die fijne kerstsfeer met een aantal wereldwijdbekende kerstmelodieën: Adeste fideles (Wij komen tezamen), Joy to the World, Jingle Bells (hier in een jazzversie) en We Wish You a Merry Christmas.

Der Weihnachtsabend ruft in jedem von uns vielerlei Erinnerungen wach: an köstliche Mahlzeiten im Familienkreis, Singen und Musizieren und vieles mehr. Mit A Christmas Night will Marc Jeanbourquin genau solche Bilder heraufbeschwören. Inseinem Stück verarbeitete er die international bekannten Weihnachtslieder Herbei, o ihr Gläubigen, Joy to the World, Jingle Bells (hier in einer Jazzversion) und We Wish You a Merry Christmas.

La nuit de Noël évoque beaucoup d’images en chacun de nous : des souvenirs de famille autour d’un bon repas, des souvenirs de rencontres magiques, des souvenirs de fêtes, de chants et de musique. Dans cette pièce, Marc Jeanbourquin a revisité quatregrands classiques du soir de Noël : le majuestueux Adeste Fideles, l’incontournable Joy to the World, le jazzy Jingle Bells et le chaleureux We wish you a Merry Christmas.
