The version for strings was commissioned by the Brooklyn Youth Chorus and first performed on 19th May 2012. This is the Vocal Score, arranged for SSAA Chorus. Composer Bryce Dessner is perhaps best known as the guitarist from the band The National, but he is also an acclaimed composer in his own right.
