This outstanding release was recorded live at The Barnfield Theatre, Exeter on Thursday July 30, 2015. A Bigger Show has been called a Rock/Jazz Oratorio. Mike Westbrook's 21-piece ensemble score includes 3 vocalists/actors, acoustic saxophones and brass, electronics, and a double rhythm section, making for a thick, rich sound that only such a monumental instrumentation could achieve. Vocalists Kate Westbrook, Martine Waltier, and Billy Bottle, are joined by well known jazz musicians, lesser known artists, Rock and Pop musicians, Classical performers, and undiscovered young talent in a new kind of big band, deemed the Uncommon Orchestra.
