Published by James Haynor (S0.270387).George Percy Aldridge Grainger (8 July 1882 – 20 February 1961) was an Australian-born composer, arranger and pianist. In the course of a long and innovative career, he played a prominent role in the revival of interest in British folk music in the early years of the 20th century.
Included in this woodwind quintet arrangement I’ve included 6 short renditions of: Lord Melbourne, Shepard’s Hey, Colonial Song, Children’s March, Irish Tune and Molly on the Shore. This arrangement requires technical proficiency and endurance. Everybody gets their chance to shine!
