Winner of the First Prize and the Audience Prize at the Santander Piano Competition ""Paloma O'Shea"" 2015, First Prize at the Berlin Steinway Competition 2015 and the Medal of the City of Seville, Juan Perez Floristan is, at the young age of 24, a benchmark among the new generations of Spanish and European musicians. A tireless pianist despite his age, he has made his debut in some of the world's major venues, such as Wigmore Hall in London, Herkulessaal in Munich, St. Petersburg Philharmonic, Bela Bartok Hall in Budapest, Laeiszhalle in Hamburg, Auditorio Nacional of Madrid and Auditori of Barcelona. He has also performed at festivals such as the Ruhr Klavier Festival, the Verbier Festival, the Sommets-Musicaux Festival in Gstaad (Switzerland), the Santander Festival, the Granada Festival, the Beethoven Festival in Warsaw. On this new release, which is part of the Naxos Laureate Series, he presents works by Liszt, Beethoven, and Schumann, staples in his already vast repertoire.
