Minimax was premiered in 1923 in the original version for string quartet at the Donaueschinger Musiktage and edited in 2014 by Christoph Enzel for saxophone quartet. The 6 parodies of military music perfectly match the saxophone, the wit and wit of the compositions can be transferred without restriction. Some coarseness works almost better on the saxophone than in the original.
