This is a gentle reimagining of Chopin's heartbreaking Prelude in E minor, Op. 28 no. 4. I kept the melody the same, just altering the very end. And the left hand, instead of the blocked chords, now uses some motion with some arpeggiated textures. Â
I love Chopin's piece in the original form (I also recorded that before releasing this reimagining) and only arrange pieces that I love and admire. I think this honors his work and yet gives a slightly more modern take for today's pianists.
