SKU: A0.881125

Composed by Gabriel Faure. Arranged by Cesar Alejandro Carrillo. 20th Century,A Cappella,Christian,Contemporary,Sacred. Octavo. 8 pages. Cesar Alejandro Carrillo #3860077. Published by Cesar Alejandro Carrillo (A0.881125).

This is a choral adaptation of Pie Jesu, the most famous movement of Requiem by Fauré. It is one of the masterpieces of all time that I think deserved an adaptation for choir. His melody, full of sweetness and beauty, unfolds like a butterfly emerging from its cocoon. Camille Saint-Saëns said of it: "Just as Mozart's is the only Ave verum Corpus, this is the only Pie Jesu.

Fauré wrote about his Requiem: "It has been said that my Requiem does not express the fear of death and someone has called it a "lullaby of death ". But it is how I see death: as a happy deliverance, an aspiration to a higher happiness, rather than a painful experience".
