Published by J Walker (A0.923406).A train trip across America back in 2014 inspired me to write these pieces. As our train chugged across the land, there was a definite C major feel to the sound of the horn every time we passed a level crossing or met a freight train.
West Side is a very rhythmical piece. The title was meant to refer to San Franscisco, though could be applied to many cities, somewhere vibrant and busy. Much of the rhythm is shared between the hands and so is not as complicated as it may sound.
