Passacaglia introduces handbell and handchime ringers to most of the idiomatic handbell techniques, employing the C Major scale similar to Pachelbel's Canon in D. There are no bell changes within the work, allowing ringers to concentrate on moving musically from one technique to the next. This arrangement fits nicely in a church or school setting.
