Published by Zack Richards (A0.894392).I wrote Out of the Darkness as a companion piece to Into His Light, which is also available on my website. The melodic content is inspired by the melody of Into His Light, however, it is written in a much darker style. The use of C minor, dissonant suspensions, and darker harmonies all help to paint the dark mood. The final chord changes to C major to aid both in the idea of coming Out of the Darkness and to set up the transition to Into His Light. The two companion pieces can be played consecutively or separately, whichever works best for the situation.
