Written for the College of San Mateo Jazz Band (CA), Mike Galisatus, Director; up tempo, modal blues over pedal points with a Coltrane inspired rhythmic feel; solos for piano, alto 1, tenor 1 and a drum solo over figures; saxophone soli, canonic section, soft ensemble; roaring shout chorus and big, dramatic ending; lead trumpet to high E (written); lead trombone to A above the staff. Recorded on the CD Singular Vision by the Washington State University Jazz Big Band (WSU Recordings 2016-2).
