The mood of the piece is generally somber but with bursts of emotion at the injustice of the innocent Savior willingly paying for sins of the guilty. "What Thou, my Lord, hast suffered, was all for sinners’ gain". The work has been featured in both Christmas and Easter performances. Lead Sheet is included for optional keyboard &/or guitar.
