Wayne Wold wrote the poetry of this dramatic and stirring anthem while visiting the Holy Land and musically captures all the emotion of the Passion story with intense and colorful text painting. Written in four sections that reflect on Jerusalem, Gethsemane, the upper room, and Golgotha, each section concludes with the refrain, "O Jerusalem . . ." While the score is more advanced with dissonant and chromatic writing, the reoccurring motifs and refrains will aid the learning process.
