The popular Christmas Carol "O Holy Night" by Adolphe Adam has been arranged for flute choir by Jeffrey Ouper. An audience favorite! Download includes score and parts for 1st, 2nd, 3rd, alto, bass, and contrabass flutes. You do not need a contrabass flute for this arrangement. An optional E-flat flute part is included, which is the same part as the 1st flute. An optional 4th flute part doubles the alto part, and an optional 2nd bass flute covers for the absence of the contra. There is some divisi in the 3rd and 4th/alto parts. The minimum number of players recommended is: 1 on 1st, 1 on 2nd, 2 on 3rd, 2 on 4th/alto, 1 on bass, 1 on bass2/contra. Larger ensembles may choose to have one player on the 1st part as a solo part.
The arrangement is just over 4 minutes in length and goes through 2 of the 3 verses. The first verse uses the original harmony and the 2nd verse offers new contemporary harmony for variety. This arrangement is in the original key of D-flat major. A singer soloist could easily sing along with this arr.
