Composed by Turlough O Carolan. Arranged by Thomas Quigley. Celtic,Concert,Holiday,Romantic Period. Score and parts. 7 pages. Thomas Quigley #3389097. Published by Thomas Quigley (A0.731804).

Lush, romantic harmonies are appropriately used in this exceptionally moving arrangement. Both Irish and classical elements are noticeable in O Carolan's compositions, and here, the beautiful, lyrical melody is treated with the utmost care and sensitivity. The tune is not always confined to the 1st violin, giving other members opportunity, and at times, for expressive purposes, the pitch rises. It is however easily manageable by a good amateur or student quartet. Suitable for a concert, either on its own or in conjunction with another O Carolan melody, this is a superbly crafted arrangement.

This product was created by a member of ArrangeMe, Hal Leonard’s global self-publishing community of independent composers, arrangers, and songwriters. ArrangeMe allows for the publication of unique arrangements of both popular titles and original compositions from a wide variety of voices and backgrounds.
