The title refers to a classic Brazilian anecdote: A man is explaining how to escape from a tiger and his friend keeps presenting obstacles to be overcome, to which the man in frustration finally exclaims, "Hey! Are you my friend or the friend of the tiger?!" The piece has a few obstacles of its own. It is included among the four pieces in the Travels Abroad collection, which is also available on SMP( SO.876523).
