A trio for Violin, Violoncello and Pianoforte, based upon Indian melodies. Duration between 7 and 8 minutes. The piano sets the stage for a simple, pastoral melody to come on stage, to be beckoned later by other merry melodies into the magical woods, where all on a sudden it experiences the presence of a gentle divine force to which it bows in self-surrender, going through a mystical experience and finally emerging from it, and the woods, with a new consciousness of the world around it. In line with Indian musical tradition, except where indicated, dynamics, tempi and expression are left to the imagination and interpretation of the performers. Composed in Tauranga, New Zealand, on 29 October 2023.
