The first one was written on the day of birth of my son Jasper, together with the drawing on the front page. The other pieces were written for very close friends who also had a newborn child; day of birth and name of the child make up the title of each work. The pieces are all between 1 and 2 minutes and they are very accessible. Therefore they are very appropriate for children who are in the first level. The Mozartean character makes it suitable for all levels of piano playing, even for professionals! Each piece has a polyrhythmical and/or polymetrical passage that makes them part of post-minimalism. Music-Box can be heard and seen on YouTube.
