Opens with a rubato a capella section, before settling into a relaxed groove with some textural variety in the vocals. The piano part is rhythmically straightforward, and the vocals range between simpler sections and flashier moments (with brief baritone splits) to impress the audience and challenge the students. The range is less ambitious than some high school arrangements, keeping the sopranos to E4 and lower, and allowing basses to split down if asked to go above a D4. Please enjoy it as a change of pace from the usual high school repertoire! And yes, that is my last name.
