The Latin word Momentum has come to mean many different things in our language: a short period of time, a force, or a speed of movement. In our current times of around-the-clock high speed and energy, the composer wanted to write a refl ective and meditative piece that focuses on the moment at hand. An ideal point of rest for your concert programme!
Das lateinische Wort Momentum“ hat viele Bedeutungen: Augenblick, Bewegung oder bewegende Kraft und den Begriff Bedeutung selbst. In einer Zeit der Schnelligkeit und Raserei soll dieses meditative Musikstück eine kleine Auszeit von Hast und Unruhe sein: ein Verharren und sich Fallenlassen im Moment. Ein idealer Ruhepunkt in Ihrem Konzertprogramm!
Le sens primitif du terme latin momentum est « ce qui est en mouvement ». Plusieurs équivalents français peuvent le remplacer selon le contexte : bref intervalle de temps (un instant), force, vigueur, vitesse ou quantité de mouvement, etc. Tandis que notre quotidien nous emporte dans une folle course contre la montre, Momentum nous offre un instant méditatif, une pause introspective.
Il signifi cato originario del termine latino “momentum” è ciò che si muove. Per noi signifi ca breve intervallo di tempo, istante. Mentre il nostro quotidiano è in genere una corsa contro il tempo, Momentum ci offre un istante di meditazione, una pausa introspettiva.
