Published by David Leech (A0.973269).This is an up-tempo swing version of a tune that is usually performed as a ballad. It features a male vocal. The vocalist sings one full chorus, followed by a half chorus rousing band ensemble and tenor sax solo. The vocal reenters on the bridge to complete the second chorus. Then the arrangement goes into a long vamp where the vocalist can do some improvisation. The vamp goes on for 64 bars, gradually building to a climactic ending.
The chart can also be performed as an instrumental by substituting the solo trombone part.
The vocal range is an octave and a sixth. (C3 – A4)
First trumpet range is from D below the treble staff to a high D two octave higher, with an optional high F on the last note.
