This Missa Brevis is the first version of the Missa Carminum Folk Song Mass in which Paul Cihara sought to express a reconciliation between the opposing realms of sacred and profane. Composed in 1975, the work was in some ways a response to Leonard Bernstein's 'Mass' of 1972. Vocal Score.
