Composed by Bach/Kayali. Arranged by Francis Kayali. Concert,Standards. Score and part. 5 pages. Francis Kayali #5989601. Published by Francis Kayali (A0.973033).

Bach's minuet for solo cello, with a superimposed piano part in 20th century style.

There are precedents for this kind of approach. Edvard Grieg composed a second piano part to be added to some Mozart piano sonatas. Luciano Berio used Mahler's Second Symphony in his 1969 Sinfonia. In 2010, Timo Andres recomposed the solo part of Mozart's "Coronation" Concerto (I recommend the Andres piece heartily. The Berio is a classic. Grieg is interesting.) The most famous example of this approach is probably the 1853 Ave Maria by Gounod, also on Bach.
