Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's 2 Minuets from Violin Sonata I, K. 6.
The arrangement is for string ensemble (violin, viola, violoncello & double bass) and flute.
Includes score and set of parts.
Often unfairly called "Andante grazioso," these minuets are more agreeable when they are played in "Allegretto." When it was published in 1764, the composer or his father (Wolfgang was only 7 at that time!) only marked "1st Minuet" and "2nd Minuet" on the MS.
This sonata and the next one (K. 7) were dedicated to Madame Victoire de France, and their original title is "Sonates pour le clavecin, qui peuvent se jouer avec l'accompagnement de violon" (Sonatas for harpsichord, which can be played with violin accompaniment).
The arranger added several notes for the violoncello and contrabass parts in order to make the minuets sound more rhythmic and balanced.
