Composed by Gabriel Pierne. Arranged by Ted R. Marcus. 19th Century,Chamber,Classical,Contest,Festival,Romantic Period. 29 pages. Ted R. Marcus #834077. Published by Ted R. Marcus (A0.1238641).

Gabriel Pierné's "lively minuet" is from a collection of 15 piano pieces, each dedicated to a fellow composer. This one is dedicated to Camille Saint-Saëns. In a minor key but sprightly, it's more of a free-form rondo than a minuet, with a rhythmic principal theme, two fugato sections, and a French Romantic sensibility. Arranged for "advanced" players, it's a great concert opener or encore.

Approx. Duration: 3:20
