Published by Sy Brandon (A0.755143).This three movement piece is in a neo-classic style and is greatly influenced by characteristics of the Mannheim Orchestra of the pre-classic period, said to be the finest during that time. The composers of the Mannheim School wrote in a style that took advantage of the orchestra’s technical capabilities. These include boldly contrasted dynamics, presto movements, calculated use of crescendo and decrescendo, tremolo, and rockets (rising arpeggiated figures). The style was also known for the use of the Mannheim "sigh" (a half step descending figure). All of these are incorporated into Manheim Sinfonietta. The score prints on legal size paper and the parts on letter.
