This arrangement of Sebastian Temple’s setting of the Prayer of St. Francis speaks to me, and I hope can speak to you in a real way.
The arrangement for viola duet with piano is entirely in the key of C, and except for a few 3rd position notes in the viola 1 part, can be played entirely in 1st position. It follows the form of Temple’s song: verse/verse/chorus/verse, with an added chorus/verse. The melody moves back and forth between the parts. Piano score and viola parts are included.
Although the piano part adds much to the arrangement, it can stand alone as a violin duet without accompaniment if desired.
