SATB choir and cantor, a cappella - Medium

SKU: PL.9211

Composed by Randall Giles. Cathedral. Choral, Evensong. Octavo. Paraclete Press #9211. Published by Paraclete Press (PL.9211).

Gregorian chant is the inspiration for Randall Giles' setting of the Evening Canticles. Written in 'alternatim' fashion for cantor and SATB choir, much of the text is recited in the chant style. The harmonic language, at once sweet and poignant, serves well in highlighting the awe and mystery experienced by the Blessed Mother and St. Simeon.
