She is the sun in the afternoon
she is the night's familiar
She comes on a beam of mellow gold light
and is soft as the scent of camelia
But she burns oh she burns
with a heat that startles and sears
and she has burnt her way right through to my heart.

She comes with such speed
Brings me the warmth that I need
and lights up my world with her gold
and her eyes tell what scarcely need be told
that the lady is fair
that the lady is bright
that the lady is air
the lady is light
and though I touch
I never may hope to hold the little Laser Lady...
