From the Operetta Zigeunerliebe. Composed by Franz Lehar. Arranged by Jos van de Braak. Baton Music vocal series. Full Score and set of parts. Baton Music #BM1253-SET. Published by Baton Music (BF.BM1253-SET).

As a composer Lehár started with contributions to the opera-genre but the great triumph of his first operetta Die lustige Witwe, (The merry widow), in 1905 made him clear that he had to give his talents to the operetta. Lehar composed the operetta ‘Zigeunerliebe’ in 1909. The most popular aria from this operetta is ‘Hör ich Cymbalklänge’ which became famous as ‘Lied und Csárdás’. Dutch arranger Jos van de Braak transcribed this ‘Lied und Cárdás’ for Soprano and Symphonic Band.
