This motet, dating from around 1663 and surviving in the Duben Collection at the University of Uppsala, is the only known surviving composition by the Venetian singer Caterina Giani (ca. 1630-after 1673), wife of the prominent Venetian composer Massimiliano Neri (ca. 1618-after 1670). It is scored for solo high voice, two violins, and continuo.
