SATB choir and congregation, organ, brass quartet, timpani - Medium Difficult

SKU: PL.0013

Composed by Andrew Walker. Cathedral. Choral, Festival, General, Hymn. Octavo. Paraclete Press #0013. Published by Paraclete Press (PL.0013).

This stirring piece is the third movement of a three movement work, written for the dedication of the new organ at St. Michael's Episcopal Church in Orlando, Florida. A brass quartet immediately announces the melody before the first verse is sung by the choir with organ accompaniment. Each verse of the beloved Charles Wesley text is then set differently: women with organ, men with brass, choir a cappella, and finally all forces with congregation on the melody. This is a wonderfully festive anthem and could be of particular interest on special occasions. The first two movements are scored for organ, brass quartet and tympani and are available for rental from the publisher.
