Composed by J.J. Johnson. Arranged by Ryan Gabbart. Jazz,Standards. Score and parts. 47 pages. Ryan Gabbart #194068. Published by Ryan Gabbart (A0.584781).

Grade 4. 5 minutes duration. Scored for 5-4-4 or 5-5-5 with optional trumpet and trombone parts. Rhythm section is guitar, piano, bass, and drum set. This solo trombone feature on J.J. Johnson's most notable composition has a chorale-like quality that allows the whole ensemble to shine! Each horn section is prominently featured as counterparts to the original melody, with a re-harmonized group ensemble soli section in the second half of the arrangement. Solo trombonist needs no improvisational skills in order to perform—there is an optional repeat for added solos if needed. Thank you! Please check out my other works!
