Craig (A0.815311).Davide Delle Cese's "L'Inglesina" (The Little English Girl) is an Italian symphonic march similar in style to the "Florentiner March" by Julius Fucik. This version is written for clarinet quartet using an Eb; however, an alternate Bb part is included. This is perfect for recitals, dinner music gigs, children's programs, and ceremonies and can be performed by advanced high school and college ensembles, as well as professional groups. This is a very Italian march; take your time and use the rubato where marked. The MP3 recording includes all the rubato.
NOTE: the placement of the pick-up notes in Cl. II & Bs. Cl. in mm 39 has been debated. I decided to opt for the earlier placement as it sounds more interesting and dynamic to me. But, you can also play these notes at the end of the measure as well; you would just need to wait one whole beat and leave out the quarter note.
