Joshua Fit de Battle of Jericho is an all-time favorite African-American spiritual composed by slaves in the US during the first half of the 19th Century. The lyrics (not provided) refer to the Hebrew hero Joshua leading his army and musicians against the city of Jericho. This arrangement in G major is for Early Intermediate Violin with a piano accompaniment. A solo sheet also accompanies the score.
