Each song was written for a member of a family that I met back in 2000, and each song was my way of showing their character, at least how I viewed them. So, this song is dedicated to them, and you know who you are. Know that I still love each of you and pray for you every day. This song, JOLENE’S NEW GROOVE, is for the youngest daughter, to whom I’ve had the pleasure of officiating her wedding. This song does not have a dual meaning like the other songs on the EP, but it relates to the many different things she has done in life to grow and educate herself, and each endeavor was that new groove. Although it is the third track on the EP, it was the second song written back in 2006, but has since gone through some revisions to what you hear today. And no, that is not a picture of her.
