Mitte des 19. Jahrhunderts schrieb der Amerikaner James Pierpont ein Lied uber die bei den Jugendlichen in seiner Heimat beliebten winterlichen Pferdeschlittenrennen. Damals ahnte er wohl nicht, dass das frohliche Lied, das er One Horse Open Sleigh nannte, bald als das Weihnachtslied Jingle Bells um die ganze Welt gehen wurde, wo es heute noch von keinem Weihnachtsfest wegzudenken ist. Naohiro Iwai schrieb dieses gelungene Arrangement fur Blasorchester.
