Composed by James Siddons. 20th Century,Contemporary,Patriotic. 2 scores. 3 pages. James Siddons Music and Writings #3024719. Published by James Siddons Music and Writings (A0.972636).

The clarinet duo J.P Morgan Finances the Panic of 1907 was originally composed in December, 1967, when the composer was 19 years old, and was inspired by Walter Lord's description of the Panic of 1907 in his book The Good Years (1960). The duo was revised in June, 1969.
***The two performers may stand next to each other and read from the same music stand, but the musical effects will be enhanced if the performers stand apart, to create a stereophonic effect. This is especially effective in passages where the texture changes from heterophony to unison and back (e.g., mm. 10-12). The distance they stand apart will vary with the width of the performance area (stage) and the size of the auditorium.
