In 1999-2000 I recorded 10 instrumental acoustic guitar pieces I like to call "Invitations" (in part because they are somewhat technical like a Bach invention, but simpler and in a modern style; and because they are meant to sound pleasant enough to "invite" the listener in!)  This one, #5, was based on a simple melodic-chordal idea I got in the shower. I remember rushing to my guitar while still wet and naked, trying to play what I was hearing in my head. It didn't take long because this is probably the simplest of the 10 pieces. I used a Yamaha LL35 steel-string acoustic that I've owned since the early '90s, playing it finger-style with classical technique. I hope you enjoy it!
