Although this is not his version, it is an easily learned arrangement for the pianist who wants to have a more flowing style of music to accompany group singing. I have a 2 page version of this hymn elsewhere on this site. The melody is retained, as well as the traditional timing to help singers even if a song leader is not present. It is also suitable for church preludes, offertories or communion and particularly during Lent. It can also be used to accompany a soloist or C instruments such as violin, cello, flute or oboe and a lead sheet is included. Lyrics are included as well as chords for guitar. Intermediate level.
