This gorgeous folk melody,"O Waly Waly," is arranged for solo cello and piano by Mark Hayes. Hayes has re-harmonized the melody giving the piece a rich, inspirational feel, with lush chords and and romantic piano accompaniment. The first verse is introduced solely by the piano in a rubato style. The second verse has a gentle sycopated feel with the cello taking the lead. The third verse modulates a fourth higher than the original key and features a soaring melody line by the cello. After this climactic verse, the arrangement ends softly with a surprising yet satisfying harmonic twist. This is a moderately advanced arrangement and the performance time is approximately 3:30 minutes.
