Published by Joel Jacklich (A0.723104).Commissioned by Mitch Sturman, director of the Wilson Junior High School Band in El Centro, California in 2014 for his 8th Annual "Concert of Premieres," the work features a solo trumpet in a quiet piece with both a 40's "big band" feel and a reminiscence of the Western "cowboy" influence felt in the Imperial Valley of California. The work was premiered by 7th grade trumpeter Precious Esquer and the Wilson Jr. H. S. Band with the composer conducting on May 21, 2015, in the Wilson Jr. High School Gymnasium, El Centro, California.
